TOKYO – Teijin claims to have developed the world’s first ultra-fine recycled polyester filaments, which are just 700 nanometres in diameter.

Using proprietary spinning technology, the ultra-fine polyester ‘Nanofront’ filaments are capable of producing, uniform, dense, but extremely lightweight knitted or woven textiles that are said to be much more soft and supple than traditional lightweight polyesters.
