Lindex Baby Home focuses on organic cotton and recycled polyester

Lindex’s very popular baby assortment is being expanded to now include‘Lindex Baby Home’–a playful home collection for kids.

The home collection is made from organic cotton and recycled polyester, and the cotton products are always GOTS certified.

Having about 460 stores in 18 markets, Lindex is an international fashion company with head office in Gothenburg, Sweden and has about 5,000 employees. The company, notably, has 6 production offices in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar and Turkey.

The collection includes soft bedding, practical storage baskets and decorative pennants, comfortable terry towels, cosy baby blankets, pillows and stuffed soft toys.

Both the home collection and the baby clothes are designed based on 2 different unisex concepts: Colour Pops and Soft Nature.

While Soft Nature has a clear Scandinavian expression with a muted colour spectrum and detailed patterns, Colour Pops has a playful expression with colourful and bold designs.

The company claims that the entire assortment has a timeless design and is of high quality. The products are designed for a playful everyday life and have been developed to last a long time.

Lindex Baby Home is available in selected Lindex stores with the baby assortment and on lindex.com from 30 January.

How recycled polyester is good for baby products, spokesperson of Lindex told Apparel Resources,“Our baby assortment has been carefully developed so that the products can be used as long as possible and can then be passed on to younger siblings or a new baby. That requires not only a clever design, but also materials that are durable. Polyester is a fibre with a long lifetime. However, since polyester is oil-based and manufactured from non-renewable sources, we are working to reduce the extraction from fossil sources and instead capture the waste from PET bottles to be more resource-efficient and have less climate impact when it comes to fibre choice.”
